Sergi Carbonell began his creative career at the Elisava School of Design and Engineering in Barcelona, a school where he is now a tutor of the Final Degree Project, Audiovisual and Interaction subjects. He teaches Typography in Motion at Bau, Design College of Barcelona, as well. In 1998 he founded Sixis, one of the first studios in Barcelona, which specialized in the creation of visual art, motion graphics and new media design.
His design work ranges from the theoretical to the experimental projects. For over 16 years he has developed commercial assignments for brands like Coca-Cola, Nike, Logitech, Playstation, MTV, Pepsi, Red Bull, Nokia, Camper, Turner, Timberland, Canal +, etc. His projects have been exhibited in London, Paris, Moscow, Mexico and Caracas. He has been interviewed numerous times by the international design press and contributes by speaking at conferences and judging at design events.
He has been an Audio Designer and Producer for many of his projects and for different record labels as well.
In present time, he continues to combine teaching and commercial works with his research and experimentation in the image, sound and communication world.
